BAN HIM DAFNI!! BAN HIM!!!! lol!

HOLY COW! Talk about HUGE motors... The 3060 puts out almost 7HP, and the 3080 puts out about 9HP! I think that one of those motors could and would shred ANY drivetrain they would be put to use on. I wonder what kind of a controller one would need to run one of these! And imagine the batteries you would need! Either REALLY high voltage or REALLY high amps would be required.

nbcaznmaster 09.10.2005 07:53 PM

dang, i never heard of a 7hp nitro mtoor! have u? lol, theres no limit for brushles, but theres a limit for nitro! I bet u have to use multiple controllers for it to work. Maybe 2 or 3 of them.

coolhandcountry 09.10.2005 07:59 PM

I like the sound of it. 7 and 9 hp. It will take 60 volts. How many nimh cells is that. 50 cells. I don't know of a controller to handle that many. I like to know more. I don't know where to get it. I found out as much as i could.

dabid 09.10.2005 08:02 PM

Would you need two controllers for it or something? That's the only way I could understand the 6 wires.......but what controller could even think of handling that sucker?!?!

captain harlock 09.10.2005 08:02 PM

This is truely rediculous and I thought the 2280 was the biggest thing I've seen in RC world.

coolhandcountry 09.10.2005 08:08 PM

Hey captain. It pushed a boat to 116 mph. I think they said they had two of them. That is flying. Have to add this one to your dream truck. :) It is on mine.

MetalMan 09.10.2005 08:09 PM

David, the dual wires is like how the newer Warrior 9920s are. Dual wires allows a bigger amp draw than a single wire. But by the power those things have, you would need two controllers to drive one motor! Let's figure something out here. Say we use the 3060 8t. That's 981kv. To reach 40,000RPMs, you need about 41volts, or about 35 NiMh cells (9-10 Lipo). At 41 volts and 7,000watts output (and 85% efficiency), the motor will pull 200amps!!!

coolhandcountry 09.10.2005 08:12 PM

If you think about it. They made the motor. Seems they should make a controller to run it.

:D No, even my dream truck will not tolerate the power of this thing and besides, I need to use more than 10 lipos to push this motor to its zenith. I think its a baaaaaad idea for 1/10-1/8 monster trucks to be pulled around by this goliath.
