question about Futaba FASST
the reciever has a much shorter antennea, what has everybody done to set it up...do you still use a tube? Is one needed?
|
It isnt needed, but since its got the coaxial antenna it cant be bent to a right angle, so make sure its not bunched up all crazy, keep it curved

is it better to not use a tube than? Would it matter if you strapped it to the truck? |
I use the tube in mine and just tape it laying down on the chassis.
|
I use a short tube, I cut a slit up the tube at the bottom so the antenna can exit a little early and I can still jam the tube in its holder hard.
|
Heres mine, the pic wasnt taken to see the antenna, so is not the best, but you can see how mine is, the tube is a few in long...
Run a tube IMO, just keep the wires with a curve, dont cramp them together http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p...O/IMG_3261.jpg |
you can heat up the tube where you want it to curve then when it cools it will stay that way.
