question about Futaba FASST

the reciever has a much shorter antennea, what has everybody done to set it up...do you still use a tube? Is one needed?

It isnt needed, but since its got the coaxial antenna it cant be bent to a right angle, so make sure its not bunched up all crazy, keep it curved

is it better to not use a tube than? Would it matter if you strapped it to the truck?

I use the tube in mine and just tape it laying down on the chassis.

I use a short tube, I cut a slit up the tube at the bottom so the antenna can exit a little early and I can still jam the tube in its holder hard.

Heres mine, the pic wasnt taken to see the antenna, so is not the best, but you can see how mine is, the tube is a few in long...

Run a tube IMO, just keep the wires with a curve, dont cramp them together

you can heat up the tube where you want it to curve then when it cools it will stay that way.
