4s & 9xl or 5s & 10xl ?????
 

In a truggy what will give me better runtimes and performance if both the batteries are the same capacity and the only difference between the two is a 100grams of weight? will the extra weight and 5s warrant longer runtimes and better performance on the 10xl over the 9xl and 4s? and if both were the exact same price which would you run? this will be raced on a track 95% of the time.

I would go with 5s and the 10xl, should run cooler, and offer better performance. If the same mah batteries are used in both you will get better runtime with the 5s setup. 4s setups in heavy vehicles tend to run hotter than I like...

so the 5s and 10xl it is, james you dunno if id beable to make a 30 minute main on a Nue enregy 5s 5000 30c/60c pack i can get a REALLY good deal on this 5s and its not outragously heavy either. i know itd have all the punch in the world with this pack but if geard to only run 40mph do you think ill get the runtime i need? if not whats a better pack if there is one?

With conservative driving, and the correct settings you may make 30mins racing. I do not race, so I am not sure what it will take. Gear for the high 30s and put the punch control up high, that will help runtimes. So will smooth driving.

I would go with a 5s and an 11xl. I used to run 5s 6400mah batteries on a 10xl in my 9.8rtr revo. It was to fast for the track(geared for 45) and if I had planned to run it on the track I would have went with an 11xl. I got about 35-40 minutes of runtime. and the motor never got above 145.

Mike doesnt carry an 11xl plus if i use a 10xl i can use my pinons i already have (13,14,15) and beable to gear anywhere from mid/high 30s to low 40s also if i switch for smaller tires than 6inchers that come with it i can always gear up to compensate.

I have an 11xl hacker b50 motor that i will run on 6s in my hyper st truggy. I also have a feigao 10xl that I was going to use, but the hacker is a better motor. I may use the 10xl in the crt I have to convert. Not sure if a quark airmaster 125 will work well on 6s, but I am going to use mech brakes. Too many projects...
