what 1515 1y or 2d for 6s
I am going to run this motor in the eRevo when it comes out and in my 1/8 buggy until I get the eRevo.
I think that I want to run 6s it would be nice to be able to try 4s as well. so is the 1y 2200 rpm/v to high for 6s?? would the 2d 2050 rpm/v be better or is the 150rpm not going to make a big diff ... Thanks |
I have the 2.5d (1650KV) and that is where you want to be especially if you will be doing more off road running, if your rig will see more street action you could go with the 2d I think with the 1y, it is too much battery for that motor. It is not so much the performance of the motor but the whole drivetrain and if you have too much power your wheels will just spin and you will get no traction

All of my driving will be off road and up and down hills ....
What kind of runtime do you get from your setup? |
The 1y is 48k max RPM, well within spec. If you can gear it to reasonable speed then I'd go that route. You can always use the EPA to keep it in check. Start about 70%, then go higher for more "fun". Higher RPM = higher rooster tails! :yipi:
