Mmm

When do you think you are going to be able to start shipping the MMM..?

Serum 05.12.2008 08:47 AM

As soon as they are available from Castle, Fred.

Castle served their own 'pre-orders' first. RC-monster is high on their list, and they will soon be available for the RC-monster customers.

Welcome to the forums btw!

Yea, Welcome Fred. I saw a post somewhere around here from Mike that said he thought he would see them sometime this week, but right now its still in Castles hands. I gaurantee Mike will turn them around fast as soon as they hit his door. If its one thing Mike is famous for its his fast shipping and great service.

Its gonna boil down to how many of Mikes preorders are filled by CC and where your order is "on the list" as to when your particular order ships. Mike said he will be shipping in the same order that the MMM orders were recieved and from what it sounds like CC will be shipping to dealers in waves.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply...

Possible but depends if it is the batteries that are causing the faults

unless people are intentionaly trying to run more than 6s. No battery should cause an esc to fail.

FYI - I got email notification from Mike this morning that mine is shipped out. So there you go - RCM is shipping now.

I'm just curious if Mike's batch has the 6.5 connectors or none at all. Anyone know that?

glassdoctor 05.13.2008 10:52 AM

I'm pretty sure that all Monsters so far have the wires direct soldered to the board.

Possibly the next production run will have bullets, but even that's not clear. One comment sounded like they may not put them on until the motors are here.

Sower 05.13.2008 10:54 AM

I hope mine comes with no connectors actually. I have 5.5's on my motor and battery already and would like to stick with that. I just hope I'm not one of the "dead MMM" statistics.

Just hook the MMM to a CC4600 motor on 2s lightly geared on a 4lb vehicle and run it on the moon and I guarantee the ESC will be fine.

Sweet.

I'll tell you though, I'm getting a little nervous about my system. I think I have it dialed in, but I'm all anxious with the latest news on the boards. I'm hearing things like you have to know the amp draw your motor will pull and all that jazz. I just realized I don't know what my Neu 1515 will pull so I'm getting scared. I guess I'll find out in a day or two.

Sorry for the double post guys.....

Sower,

Let me know what you find out. It sounds like we have similar combos (MMM, Neu 1515, MAXX, etc.) I'm interested in your experience on this.

Thanks,

Pro.

I was one of the first 10-20 people that ordered from Mike on his first pre-order special. I'll let you know when I get mine. I'm on the west side, so it might not be as fast as someone closer to Mike on the east.
