I'm waiting for the arrival of the 1950-5 Turn... I wonder if it would power my beast?

beast is 13lbs, all alloy
10cm Hardened Stainless CVDs
8 spyder gears... Ultramax Tranny...
1/4 scale 350 oz/inch servo
1" extended
3" overall widening...
22.2 Volt Li Po 4400mah 66Amps nominal 132Amps max...

I should've never sold my stuff last year.. I ran Dual 1930-9 turns with 2 sets of 18 cells.. that thing was fast... and I had 2 40.160's on it....

I wonder how fast this 1950 will go.. worsts comes to worst.. I'll get two of them.. :)

Anybody has this motor?..
Thanks for the input...

Your 6s pack will take you to about 55-60 mph tops. It ain't the motor, but your battery limitations.

8s 3500 Polyquest 12C/16C packs barely got me past 60 mph last spring and they're the same C rating and size. I'm going 10s 4400 packs. Hopefully, I'lll just "cruise" along at 60 mph.

What if I parrallel 2 6S packs.. 8000mah... 48 amps nominal..

so I'd have 22.2volts at 96 amps Nominal...

that's over 2100 watts...

but I guess 60 mph is good...

Would this do the trick...?

lipomax 09.13.2005 08:56 AM

Now you'll easily go to the 60's mph with that setup... AND have long run times to boot! I'm not sure if you really want to take an emaxx much faster than 60 anyways. Mine kept on bouncing off curbs and got airborne easily and those stock tires start getting real tricky above 50, let alone 60.

My experience with Lipos above 2000 watts is limited though. I've gotten my lipos to about 1800 watts (I didn't want to blow up those expensive batts). I test them first using eagletree to make sure that the load isn't too high for the batts first.

Is that steering servo as big as the tranny...or do I need more coffee to see clearly? :D

Looks like a bigscale servo to me! i wanted to use one in my future savage as well.

Nice ride though!

Just throw in one single 2250-2280 and you'll be fine and covered for speed.. ;)

Got pics of your dual setup with the two 40160's? i'd like to see those two controllers with the size of a cathedral covering your chassis.. :D

aqwut 09.13.2005 01:33 PM

yeah it is a 1/4 scale servo..

I gotta say, I love it.... 350 oz/inch... :)

Serum 09.13.2005 01:44 PM

Got pics?

:D

nbcaznmaster 09.13.2005 05:47 PM

that is crazy...im so jelous, (got any esc for sale?). U should race that thing in the unlimited class! i bet u would own!!!!

standard_63 09.13.2005 05:56 PM

The heavy duty springs for the MGT Proline shocks really work great on the heavier trucks too. I got them for mine and it is a big difference, truck jumps much better. :)

nbcaznmaster 09.13.2005 06:51 PM

How much that setup cost ya?

coolhandcountry 09.13.2005 06:57 PM

That is cool. I like it. I thought about the same thing with the 1/4 scale servo. Let me know if they hold up better. I have to make a plate but oh well. I like to see some more pics of this one and the other one you sold. Keep up the good work mate.

I only have pics for one of my 40.160.. I'll try to fine my other pics though...

It was very powerful, but I don't want to mention anything about my driving skills...

That dual 40.160, and the dual 1930's ran me about $1700 from FineDesignrc...

I really do regret that I sold it... I want to get that 40.160WK back.... anyone interested in an 18.129?.. :)

I took pics of when I had one.. but for my setup I had another 40.160WK on the bottom.. but for that pic, I think I had it in my Brushless Savage...

I'll try to find better pics.... I didn't have a digital camera back then. I borrowed a camera and took this pic back then to sell it on ebay.. :)

Seriously..

Consider one 2250/2280 on about 30 cells... It will be faster and less expensive..

The 2280 is a very, very powerfull motor, a CEN.46 has been pushed to the 63 mph on only 20 cells!! go figure!!

I personally would not put any money on schulze though.. ;)

aqwut 09.14.2005 05:48 PM

would it be safe to even try 6 Lipo's on the 18.61 or 18.129 controller....
