Al. Radio Case.. Cheap!!
i found this from a different site but had to get one and do a write up on it
i got this al. case at Menards,in the hardware section, im sure other hardware stores will have them as well, it cost like $20...and it fit alot of stuff, it is wired up underneath the foam so i can plug my charger in directly best of all its orginized http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/IMG_1694.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/IMG_1695.jpg pic of pull apart foam 1/2x1/2xabout4" deep http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u...s/IMG_1696.jpg |
That is pretty neat. It definitely beats my bucket.

Very nice. You have the same set up I have - just a nicer case. I brought home a Dewalt screwdriver case to do the same thing with.
Does your charger get hot running with all the foam packed around it? |
dont know yet, but when i charge my batterys at room temp. the fan on the power supply only kicks on the last 15min. of a one hour charge, ill post it up if i run into problems

Those generic cases are awesome! I got one from the LHS I work at for like $10 that's about half that size - it's PERFECT for my Nomadio React radio. Looks like yours will be very handy .

Do you by chance know how to set up the 989 to charge two NiCd's? My serial adaptor is set up right, it just seems that I cant get the settings right to make it charge them together.

i dont know on the charger , i have only charged my lipos , sorry

You can also find these cases at Home Depot, etc.. and Harbor Freight too. They don't always have the nice full foam though.
I have a couple of them... one for my radio and one I use for my laptop. :) |
