On to my question: What I woundering is can I run two 7.4v or 11.1v lipo batts with a feigao 9l and a Warrior 9920 esc? Its going on a erevo that wieght about 9 pounds. |
anyone know?

2x 11.1v = 22.2v which would be too hot for the 9L.
The 7.4v would be a much better choice. :) |
Welcome to the forums!
You could also run one 2s (7.4v) and one 3s (11.1v) in series, making it 5s. Mike ran this setup in his Revo at Monster Madness, and also runs it regularly. Make sure you strongly consider a low-voltage cutoff device to protect your lipo investment - the Warrior controllers don't have the proper cutoff to save lipo batteries, although they are a very capable controller. |
How do I run batts in seires? And can you just ad a low voltage cutoff devices to a warrior esc. I don't have the warrior so if I can't ad a low voltage cut off device is there another esc that would work?

The mgm 16016 will run the lips has the built in cut off as well. I think it will take the 5s lipo(2s +3s). To run the batteries in series. Run the ground of battery 2 to esc. run the red (positive wire)off battery 1 to the esc. Hook the red wire from battery to to battery 2 to black wire off battery 1. If you have 2 7.4 packs. You will have 14.8 volts. Hope this helps.
