Li-Po Question-- Fine? Bad?
 

Ok, so I just received my used Protek 3s 4000 pack for my Stampede. I charged it up, ran for about 20min, came inside, and felt the pack. It felt sightly soft, but not soft-soft like puffed MaxAmps soft, but I could push down the shrinkwrap anout .5mm on either side. Is this a puffed LiPo or just a loose shrinkwrap job? Keep in mind, the pack does have another layer of clear shrink over the factory wrap. Another question-- is it okay to charge my LiPo's while I can watch them, and then once they are done, go take a shower or eat breakfast or something like that? Span of time from my leave to my return would be ~15min. Is it okay to leave a LiPo to sit for that time fully charged?

I am sure that it is fine, just loose shrink. I leave my lipos fully charged all of the time, and have never had any issues. 15 mins will be fine.

If you were imagining a 6' 7" hairy guy getting out of the shower, you would be imagining my dad. :lol: Best dad a 14-year-old could ask for, though.

6'7", that guy could kick my a$$! I had a buddy that was 6'7" and he was dating a girl who was 5' even. It was funny to see them together.

Sounds like we should leave you guys alone for a while to get this out of your system. you should have made this a closed thread.

Sounds like my parent's story. My dad was 6'9 and my mom is 5'5.

Careful, linc is known to like guy in dresses :rofl:. He told me he was dreaming of seeing me in a dress :rofl:.

Do you know how many cycles the pack had before you got it? Most lipos will expand up to 1-2mm and some datasheets even mentions that. A lipo will most of the time puff before anything else happens. Just be carefull with linc, he might be on the way to see you in the shower :rofl:.

Linc- He probably could. My dad broke 3 of some guy's ribs with 1 punch.

Lutach- The pack had ~14 cycles.

A little swelling is ok. It happens to some of my packs.
