MMM and eagletree rpm sensor problem.
My MMM love the german air ^^
All looks ok, but i have a problem with my eagletree elogger. Why does the brushless rpm sensor show so high rpms? like 60000 rpm. With the Monster Pro 125B it show 34000 rpm and so on. The Motor get no more pole i hope ^^ - Lehner 2-pol 1920/10 (Sternschaltung - 17) (In Eagletree software i saved 2 poles) MMM powered the motor on other ways? Need my exact rpm sensor. Titan PS Sorry about the english  |
If your using only a single connection try connecting both leads from the sensor (check install guide or eagletree website for details) as this seems to help many people that have odd signaling issues.

year, this i can try. Sorry, i do not think to this option. :(

Not a problem, I would not have thought of it either. I came across it while browsing eagletrees forums looking for something completely different. If using both leads does not work for you the support guys seem to be pretty good about getting problems resolved.

It's not just your problem. Have a look at my graphs in my thread here http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12049. They show the same 60000rpm spikes. If you zoom in on your graphs the rpm sensor is fairly accurate when the motor is spinning under power. It look like it goes to 60000 possibly under brakes (proportional breaking probably throws it off).
|
In your case with the occasional spikes you can limit them (in amplitude not frequency) by setting the max range for that input. So if you know that the highest RPM you would ever see was 35000 set that as the max range so that you will not have off the scale readings messing with your graphs.
This does not fix anything but it will make it less annoying to look at. Oddly enough I only tend to see those spikes when I power the system up or down. |
I get those spike on my mini-t (Quark 33amp Pro-car) when I power it up as well but the MMM is a different beast. I forgot to mention as well that I do have both wires connected. I haven't yet tested the rpm meter on anything else. I don't really want to limit the graph as I want to see how hard it revs doing back flips and things.
|
Now i used both rpm sensor wire.
one on phase 1 and the otherone on phase 3. But the rpm spikes are there. I can imagine, the spikes are a result of breaking. But i need a Video of driving with eagletree overlay - to see the facts with the car moving... Have everybody the spikes with eagletree bl rpm sensor and MMM? My Monster Pro B125 breaks on an other way like MMM? Titan |
I have no experience with EagleTree systems, but It sounds like Nyquist limit problem.

I do not understand the last part of your message ^^ Can you write the fact in other way?
I asked somebody, who make a overlayed Video. He captured the eagletree playing (Windows Media Encoder) and mix the car video and eagletree video with premiere pro. Titan |

OT: Here is a link to a video (not my video) with overlayed eagletree
