savage xl project

hey guys today at work we got the new savage in i think i might be getting it instead of getting my old revo back. i was thinking about doing the same setup that i was goign to do to my revo in the savage.

10xl motor
mmm esc
6s lipos

i was also going to just use the revo motor mount and see if i can get that to mount up. i should be able to

but i was wondering if any one knows of any good battery trays i could use. i need 2 trays cause im using 2 x 3cell lipos. one is going rightnext to the motor and the other on the out side of the chassis where the old fuel tank use to be. reason for that is i cant find any other room for the second lipo. and i need a tray that i could use to protect the lipo incase of something hitting it.

any one have any ideas on what i could do or use?

thanks

I currently have done the brushless conversion to my Savage XL.
I'm running a 1515 1.5d with a MM (bec) and a 2s2p8k Maxamps
16 tooth pinion 52 (stock) spur gear. I have my batteries stacked right were the nitro motor used to sit, with the Neu and esc above them. The truck is real rear end heavy at the moment, but I really like the way it looks. The truck will wheelie on comand at about any speed. Dont forget to tighten your slipper clutch, the brushless motor will make the stock setting slip soon.
I will post my picks as soon as possible, you can also email me for pics too.
For a motor mount I'm using a "early " Kershaw Design that I have made mods to. Kershaw is planning on using some of my mods in his XL kit. I will be having a new motor mount water jetted to my CAD file very soon. I did break a rear hub, popped a tierod end off the front steering knuckle, and took two teeth of the rear pinion gear all in seperate "test runs". I'm in the process of modifing the steering to get rid of the factory slop, and replace the adjustable rear toe with a solid hub setup.
