O-ring or seal.
It may work. The medusas are open in the back; 4 large holes and three small holes. I've run my Rustler with a Medusa offroad briefly, mainly in some dry and dying grass with a few dirt pockets here and there, and I haven't had any problems yet with the holes. It may be a good idea to seal the rear if you run in an area that has lots of little smaller pebbles though. |
Cool...... it has the same name in swedish (o-ring). Yeah, i think it´s a good idea to seal it if i want to make it last...... My plan is to run it in a Mugen MBX5 Prospec on 4 cells with with Monster Max, Polyquest 4500XQ (30-50C) and 14/46 or 16/46 Gearing.... i think it should run pretty cool with that gearing and a heat sink. Anyone tried a simular setup?

I made a foam filter for the back of my Neu. I just took some thicker foam, hollowed out the inside so it could slide over the back of the motor, cut some slots to fit around the motor wires (I have my motor hard soldered, no plugs) and left alip of foam that I use a zip tie to hold around the motor can. I saw someone make something similar on rctech and followed their lead. I oil the filter too and just pop it off to clean it and replace the zip tie... I have been asked for pics. I'll take some update pics today of my RC8 and post a few things I have added to show the filter... works great and cheap/easy to do

Yep I though about something like that also, would like to see a workable solution!

One of these might work for you.
