How many a123 cells are in a dewalt 36V pack?

And are they still a123 cells or some other lithium-ion cells? The ebay auction says they use nano technology cells, wouldnt that be a123's???

Depends. At some point, they switched over to a cell that has only a 10C rate IIRC. I think the nano phosphate just means the voltage is still 3.3v/cell nominal and 3.6v/cell peak, which means there is still 10 cells.

I've not read any postings from someone who actually got the chinese cells instead of a123 in a dewalt 36v pac. The plane guys are still harvesting a123s from them. that seems to be whats driving the prices right now.

Check rcgroup.com - battery/charger section - if the chinese cells are arriving, they'll be the 1st to start yelling about it.
