Had an Idea-- Pletty in a Rustler?
 

Well I found a really good deal on a Plettenberg Typhoon 15/10 outrunner motor. The specs are 1230kv, 3.2mm shaft, 29mm diameter. I was thinking 4s with some tall gearing (10 pole motor) geared for about 50mph. What do you think?

On 4s, and with tall gearing, you may have startup issues. I would say to go to higher voltage and less gear, but that becomes difficult to do with the lack of a good line of car designed hv controllers (the ones that everyone does not think we need...)

I'll do my best. It looks like the motor is listed 3 times on the same username, so hopefully I can pick it up easily. I may try out a Kontronik controller for this.

Question. What's the amp draw of that motor?
