amperage overload question
 

if i have 30 sub c nimhs to make 36 volts and my motor has 900 watts max would i be putting to much amps into my 25 amp electric bike controller . Or does it just depend on the motor amp draw to determen how many amps are going through the controller. thanks for any input

Typically only the motor determines the current draw. But you must also consider that the motor will pull current based on the input voltage and the load placed on it. If you are simply increasing the voltage, then the motor will require more current, but at the same time will also put out more power.
