Future E-revo/Emaxx Build help
Hey guys, I am interested in getting either the new E-revo or the new Emaxx for a brushless project. I cant seem to make up my mind on which to get. I will most likely be using it mostly for bashing/jumping, so durability is a good thing (i realize that both will most likey require some upgrades for durability). Though i dont currently race i am not opposed to the idea, this is where the revo stands out.
Sooo..., which would make a better all around basher? either one would eventually recieve a brushless motor + esc (not decided yet, recomendations welcome). As of right now i have two 3s 5000mAH 20c packs that i could run at 6s 5000mAh to power it (traxxas says revo's drivetrain can take 6s, not sure though) Thanks! |
Revo is the better truck period. Better design, more durable, better handling. The only reason I would suggest the maxx over the revo would be for budget constraints or that you are just too impatient and can't wait a month or so for the new e-revo.
As far as the drive train I have the 3905 maxx on 6s right now and it has been fine. some others have it on their's as well. Seeing as the 3905 drive train is identical to the new e-revo I think either would be fine. |
The revo platform is unbeatable in my mind(I have had 3 of them)... well either build a revo or a truggy.

The only problem with the eRevo (as built by traxxas) is the battery trays limit your options.
