how does the lvc on the MMM work?

so ive ran my truck about 6 times now, and all 6 times i turned off the esc before the lvc hit. i notice a pretty big drop in speed and torque so i usually decide its time to bring it in. i run the truck at these speeds for even like another 5 mins and the lvc still doesnt kick in! from what i hear, usually people say its just a slight drop in power and then a minute later the lvc works. first of all ...how does the mmm lvc work...does it slow down like how mine is doing? or does it just shut my truck off..or what? im not running no cheap lipos either...its 4s neu energy so what gives?
i have my mmm set at auto lipo which should be 12v.

with as low as you are setting your LVC it will be a little while before it kicks in, I have mine set @ 3.3 vpc and it activates a few minutes after you see a loss in speed and it gives you a little insuarance

so what exactly does it do when the lvc activates? shuts off..or does it slow down and give you a warning...? so 3.3, is that 13.2volts for a 4s then?

it slows down and becomes unresponsive, and yes 13.2 volts

The esc will adjust the power to the motor to make sure the voltage stays above the cuttoff. That is why you will see sluggish performance at the end of the run.
