Temperary motor choice

Hi guys

As some of you know i converted a MUGEN MBX4 to BL. I'm saving money to buy a 7xl. I have a 9L or lehner 3100xl for use as a temperary motor, on either 12 or 14 cells. Which do you guys think would be a better choice for a temperary motor ?. Also the spur is 46t mod1 so recomend a pinion size to. Thank's

They might both be a tad too hot. Try 12 cells, and the 9L first. What's the smallest mod1 pinion you can get? Would be great if you could magic a 51 spur to this diff.

Daf i thought about putting the ofna diff in but decided against it. I'm just gonna get a hardened pinion from mike when there avaliable. When i do get my 7xl a 10t or 12t pinion was recomendend when using 14 cells. The smallest mod 1 pinion i know of is a 10 t pinion.

Definitely the 9L on 12 cells. It should work pretty well. You may get lucky with a 12t pinion (with the 9L on 12 cells) depending on the size of the spur (in teeth) and the ratio of the diffs.
