MMM testing at track
did some track testing today.system doing fine so far.MMM,9xl,4s 8000.although my truck needs a lot of tweaking.this is my first truggy.maybe you guys can help.i need more steering.what adjustments should i try first.maybe i should change tires first.im using wabash 23mm mulchers.as you can see i really have to slow down alot to make a turn.i guess im kind of used to my maxx where i can easily thow around the rear.

I have the same problem with my CRT. I was used to my revo which turns very tight, then went to this and now I have no slow speed steering(turns fine above 15) I just ignored it and tuned it for lots of rear brake bias but now that im going brushless with motor brakes IDK what im going to do.
it might help going to a thinner tire(LPR). the 40 series make it harder to turn. |
40series on truggy are useless on the track. go for LPR tires (proline or grp),

Nice video, sorry I don't have an answer to your steering problem. Maybe a high torque steering servo would be the ticket. It helped out my old T-Maxx tremendously at low speeds.

maybe the crt just wasnt meant to turn as tight as my revo. they were both running the same tires and I have a 320 oz servo.

Changing the diff oils can make a difference. Here's a post from the other day regarding such:
