Charging amp's

Ok so I just bought a Trinity IB4600 Zapped 7 Cell pack and a Hyperion EOS 0606i charger. The charger is a 6amp 50 watt max. How many amps would be best to charge it at. And what do I need to set the peak detection at.

Charge it at 1c or 4.6 amps.

I run 4400 mah 7 cell pacs in my Emaxx and charge them at 5amps with peak sensitivity at 5mv/c. Since your packs are new, you may want to start with a peak setting at 3. I use 3 for new packs and as they get some cycles on them find I get more of a charge raising the peak to 5.

Watch your temps - pack should peak with temps at 125-135F. If they get hotter, end the charge before you do any cell damage. Getting them too hot will cost you some batt life.

I use an Ice and 0606i Net Hyperion chargers and both have temp probes. I've just started using the temp probe with the 06060i and it seems to be pretty accurate. The Ice temp probe lags the batt temp badly so you have to set the cutoff temp 20-25F lower than normal and is why I don't use it.

Yeah, most battery manufactures recommend you to charge new batteries at lower than 1c for the first few packs
