did you guys notice any difference when you put this on?

Duster_360 06.09.2008 06:52 AM

Did not run without it, sorry can't help with that question.

Massive difference. My feigao went from cooking to freezing.

big greg 06.09.2008 09:36 AM

sammus is that being sarcastic? or did it really work that well after?

Sammus 06.09.2008 09:48 AM

No sarcasm, to tell the truth it wasn't MY feigao, it's brothers and is in his truck :)

12XL on 6s in a custom savage conversion, runs a pair of (integy?) 540 heatsinks on it. When I witnessed it run originally it got smoking hot v.quickly (I don't know the temps, no gauge), as in you would need to give it a break after a couple mins hard running, ESC and batts were cool, motor was way to hot to touch, you could burn yourself on it easily. I gave him a tube of cheap heat transfer paste I got for a local electronics store. I haven't run it with him since but he said it made an enormous difference, and can run full packs through his car now driving as hard as he wants.

IT could be a number of things but he's pretty stoked with the results. I think he also dropped a tooth on the pinion, so that would add to it. Though I can't imagine 1 tooth on the pinion would make a world of difference by itself - or a bit of heat xfer paster by itself for that matter. But together! :P

One tooth does make a big difference. I had a 14T in my MBX5T and went with a 15T to test a new controller and my Mega didn't like it at all. It was very hot. I will go back to 14T and maybe drop a 49T spur if temps are still hot with the 48T spur.

well i went three teeth and still hot! im goin now to get me some at radioshack if they have any
