Any one use a monoblock chassis extension w/a FLM chassis?

Just wondering if anyone tried this set up. i have the FLM chassis and was considering adding the chassis extension for an even longer wheel base on my maxx.

I'm using a monoblock with a gorilla maxx chassis. Check my thread here.

No reason why it shouldnt work on the FLM chassis. It wont work on the *extended* Gorilla chassis since it uses a custom extended rear skid, but the normal length Gorilla chassis works fine with the mono-block.

This will be one heck of a long chassis- longer than a racebomb maybe...

I forgot to add in my original post that I have the FLM skids as well...hopefully that won't make a difference. When I am done, it should be 3" longer than stock.

I have one bolted up to flm skids and new era braces but on a stock 3905 plastic chassis uptop though, it went on fine minus the usual wiggling. But the supplied UE screws didnt really fit into the monoblock, I used Tonys screws

Still looking for one of these if anyone knows where I can get one.

thanks

You can shoot Mike an email, maybe he has got one wandering around. They do fit on the FLM chassis.

i think the standard flm chassis wheelbase is about 13.5"...with the monoblock you get about another inch...throw on some RacerX Setbacks +22mm and you get a 15"+ wheelbase

You get an additional 30mm from the monoblock. I used to have a monoblock on my predator maxx with setbacks but transferred it to my gmaxx to tame the flips and wheelies. However, it still flips and wheelies like crazy so I just bought another pair of setbacks and will be install them when they arrive next week.

Here what I think it will look like, you have the FLM skid installed on the lower longer skid that connects / covers the extension. (maybe) Yes this is a GM chassis not a FLM but the illustration works for both..

Hope that helped, if not sorry..
