Take guesses on why my trucks got the twitches?
 

I have the Quark 125b. I went to re program and now its got a bad case of the twitches.

I have sense reprogramed it , Race mode on and off, . Noise Cancelation on and off. Niether did anything.

When I try to run it slow and smooth it will get get jumpy. When I do full throttle and then let go to nuetral it will lock the motor brake for a second. (very bad). This isn't happening everytime but it is happening at least 50%.

I don't know what to think. I also have a Spektrum DX3 remote.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest to reset it to factory defaults and go from there. Sounds abit like drag brake is turned on, and the start power has been altered.

I did another full reset, this time including the remote and it seems to be good. Sweet.

I love electric, all it takes to fix a problem is reset everything. if this was nitro I'd be most likely spending an hour trying to find an air leak... and then I'd have to remove the whole motor to fix it.

Ok I think I'm gonna say this DX3 remote is a piece of crap. Reseting this thing worked once. Now I have the problem again and no amount of reseting is correcting the issue.

I also notice the twitching happens when I turn. I can hold the car off the ground turn the wheel in different directions and it will twitch act up.

Any other suggestions besides this thing being junk?

Any pics of your wiring?

maybe a glitchbuster capacitor on the rx?

This is the only pic I have. The reciever is close to the motor, but It has ran fine the first 5 times I drove it.

could you try a different radio?

For testing purposes I moved the reciever as far as possible reset the remote and still had the problem

all I got is the Revo stock radio

try it, see if its the radio

On the radio: Set the throttle trim to 0. Set the EPA to as high as it can go for both forward and reverse.

On the ESC: Set the the "noise cancel" setting to "off" and the "neutral range" setting to "normal 1".

Recalibrate the radio and ESC together.

I've used two Quark systems both with Spektrum systems and they worked perfectly. Once you get your system running right, you might want to set the "neutral range" to "narrow" for the best slow speed control.

I did what Brian suggested and its still bad.

It I keep rapidily turning the steering just an 1/8" back and forth I can get this thing to go full throttle, stop, go, slam into reverse, etc. Its crazy.

I gotta go to bed I'm super tired, but I need to get this thing running for tomarrow so I will be throwing in the old TX controller and reciever. I'll let you know how that works out., thx

Do you have a second spectrum receiver to try? I've heard of something inside the receivers coming loose occasionally, maybe that could me making it act strange?

I've been using a DX3 with a quark 125 for about a year and a half, but I've never had any sort of glitching issues.

If you are running an external BEC try disconnecting that and running a receiver pack to eliminate the external BEC as the problem. The other thing that could be possible I suppose is the steering servo going bad and creating some sort of interference int he signal of the whole system, but I think the BEC is the more likely culprit.
