1st, impact rc, fast shipping? i race sunday and if i order tonight, can i see them by the weekend?

2nd should i get the feigao 9xl and gear it for 40 mph, or the medusa 36-60-1600 and gear it for 40 mph, runnig on 4s in an 8b, what will be better temp wise, help fast please:intello:

I've had great success with ImpaktRC orders the past few weeks. With Priority shipping I usually get items within 3-4 days. You can go faster for more $, but may not be necessary.

what about the motor situation i got?

big greg 06.15.2008 11:02 PM

ive heard good things about the medusa motors but will i get that much more out of it in my buggy?

azjc 06.15.2008 11:05 PM

I dont have any expierence with the Medusa motors but I am guessing the motor you have listed is a 1600kv you might be dissappointed with 4s even with gearing up try going up kv to 2000 or 2200

yea i have a 16 tooth pinion for it which puts me right at 40 mph, problem is the 2000 is out of stock now the 9xl is 1800, with the 16 tooth it puts me at like 43 mph, i have an 8xl and ran it on a 13 tooth pinion and it was plenty fast for my track, hmmm what to do?

maybe the 1600 will work especially in a racing format

big greg 06.15.2008 11:16 PM

yea i have more of a tight track, but acually i did the calculater it said i was at 37 mph, might be worth putting a 17 tooth on there, im totally torn right now tho lo, i just dont know if the 8-9xl will stay cool, it tshould but y 8xl now doesnt at all, might be bad tho

big greg 06.15.2008 11:44 PM

i see that the medusa is rated at like 100 amps, im just wondering if pushing it to 40 on 4s will bring me to the same boat as the 9xl or 8xl to 40, someone just tell me whats better lol

big greg 06.16.2008 12:28 AM

i think i will just try the medusa, are they screwed endbells or pressed and glued?

(For what it's worth), Impact is GREAT!, they are extremely fast!.. I've been using them for years and never had an issue 1.

Hope your race went well??.

Have a great week..

Shaun..

from what I have heard they are designed better, being called a Neu clone and they are a 4 pole motor...so it should handle the gear up
