MGM low voltage cutoff-=test is done=-

OK, tonight, i've charg my flightpower 5000mAh, 4s pack and put it in my mugen truggy to make a little street bashing session.
My MGM 16018 was set to "reduce RPM" mode.
So i began to drive my truggy realy hard on the pavement, and after about 8-9 minutes, the truck start to be realy slower on top speed and acceleration was smoother, with less punch. So i decide to came back home and reprogram the MGM on "race mode".
Return on the street and continue my street baching and now my truggy was very snapier, i can flit it on it's lead and the acceleration and top speed was incredible. I've continue to drive it thrue i start to feel a slighly drop in power.
You know what???? I've drive another 10 minutes before to feel the power drop:oh:
I've plug the pack on my Hyperion and the cell was at 3.5 volts, and when the pack was at 16.8 volts, the capacity was at 4500mAh, so i stop the charger, and i'am sure that if i would have let the pack on the charger thrue the end of the entire cycle, the pack would take another 600-700mAh.

So in conclusion, the LVC on the MGM controller is a realy sh.....t:diablo:

Now i'll continue to drive my truggy on "race mode" and stop to drive after about 15 minutes of runtime.

I'am sure that my little MM did the job better than my MGM:diablo:

When the next batch of MMM came back in stock, i'll order one for sur:yes:

yeah 3.5V with no load, try to get hold of eagletree to see the voltage drop and 100+A during acceleration

Adjustable

Is the LVC not adjustable on the MGM?? Maybe it can be adjusted to engage at a lower level??

no its not. i got 8000mah out of my true-rc packs with LVC set to limit power

Is you experiment same problem than me when your pack is about half dump
With good quality cell like Flightpower, normaly we're suppose to be able to dump all the pack without kick the LVC.

If i leave it on reduce rpm like you did on your's, i'll only take about 3700mAh on my 5000mAh pack, and it's a good quality pack that i've.

Anyways, i want to try a 5s on my truggy, and drope 2T on the pinion to keep about the same speed, maybe i'll pull little less current and i'll be able to have full power thrue my entire pack on reduce RPM mode:neutral:

I realy don't like it, i spend lot of money to obtain a good motor (Neu 1515), good quality li-po and high-end controller (suppose to be high-end:rofl:) and i'am not able to have good performance during all the capacity of my batterie pack when i use the controller li-po protection.:eyes:

I realy consider to return nitro, you fill the tank and the performance stay at 100% all long they've fuel in tank.

I only get 3700 out of a 4300 4s pack in my buggy with MM in it. High current draw will give you less useable mah out of a pack. My Muggy with 6s 4300 pack gets about 4100 out of a pack (running MGM 16024 @ reduce rpm), more efficient at higher voltage.
