2S li-po with a nemesis 8L for a crt.5 ?
 

I just received my monster conversion kit for my crt.5 and I already have a couple of 6000mah 2S maxamps, so i was wondering if i can use this motor http://www.finedesignrc.com/nemesisspecs.htm which gives 3072rpm/v
and also what kind of pinion should i use? something big like close to 20t? if this motor is not good, any suggestion for a motor ?

I would go with a 7l, and run a 16t pinion, will run cooler than the 8l with the higher gearing (more load), and get it from offshoreelectrics.com

Or see if Mike here at the rcm store can get you a feigao 380c 6l motor. Those are good motors.

ok great i also have this motor in stock! i ran it in my t4 before i switched for a mamba motor!
if the shaft is smaller, i just have to use a bore reducer?
last question, with the 6l, what kind of pinion shoul i use? i'm not looking for a top speed record, (especially with a 2s)

Yeah, you need a hardened pinion to run on the crt.5 steel spur. Rcm sells the bore reducers to fit the 5mm bore pinions on a 1/8 shaft. I would go with a 13t pinion to start, and see how that does.

i was just about to order my motor and i just saw that i might have a motor that i got in a trade, never used it.. feigao 540 6S 5,915 RPM/Volt 5mm Shaft,
i guess it's enough rpm for a 7.4V, is it?

That should be a good motor on 2S. I run a 6400 KV Novak 6.5 motor on 2S and it works out good.
