Brushless Kyosho 777 SP2

Well I finally did it, my last nitro has gone brushless. My first conversion was my Kyosho Kanai buggy, I had so much success and it worked so well I never drove my SP2 buggy anymore. So I decided to convert the SP2 and retire the Kanai. I used a couple of ideas I learned from my previous projects and other posters on this forum. I went with mechancial brakes with a 90 degree brake servo, I laid down the steering servo, went with a servo tray that held both servos and comes out as a unit. Only had to drill one extra hole in the chassis (for the battery tray), using carbon fiber for the battery tray, extra heavy duty velcro straps, Impaktrc Neu motor, Losi wide spur gear, RC-Monster motor mount, custom motor spacer, custom ESC mount, Mamba Max, custom body spacers to give me a little more clearence for the battery. The SP2 is a little lighter than my Kanai, but more importantly there are several more tuning options avaialble on the SP2. All the extra wires are from the Eagle Tree unit I have temporarily attached for testing.

You going to be using it onroad mostly due to the tyres? Any idea on how much it weighs?

DRIFT_BUGGY, ah the street tires, I was testing it on a street infront of my house, checking temps, amps, rpm, etc with the Eagle Tree system. Normally I run Proline CF's. It's a little heavy because of the big 1515 motor and mechanical brake parts, without the battery it weighs in at 7 lbs 9oz. With a Neu Energy 4s 5000mah it weighs 8 lbs 11oz.

Nice...especially like the tall heat sink on the esc..:mdr:

Looks similar to my mbx-5 set up w/ mech. brakes...very busy, but effective

Yeah there are a lot of extra wires, the Eagle Tree adds 4 (3 temps, 1 rpm and power leads) the brake adds 1 (servo), the external BEC adds a few, fan adds 1, additional Cap adds 1, etc. I still need to clean things up.
