Questions on CC bec

I'm running on 6S with one servo and 1 30mm fan and 1 40mm fan. The cc bec is setup at 5.1v and it decided to just stop working and just makes a slight buzzing noise and get hots fast. What could caused this? Is 6S and the fans too much? I plan to buy a new one unless there is a better one out there. If I get another one would going up to 6v help? Would that help so it doesn't have to knock down so much volts?

with 6s you dont have very much headroom, you might want to go with a
Koolflight BEC they have models that can handle up to 45v

Thanks for the info and the link. I'll get one ordered tonight. I really wanted to drive my truck so I just soldered 4 AA bats in series so I can still play until the bec gets here. Thanks again.

Also look at dimension engineering ones. I have several and never have any problems.
