ABS on a ESC
My transmitter has the ABS function.
I have used it on my Nitro trucks with great effect ,although I does give the servo a good beating. Will it give my Speed controller the same treatment if I use it on that? |
You should be fine with the ABS setting. These controllers are sensitive to the receiver's signal, and so they will acknowledge the ABS. In fact, a BL controller may run cooler with ABS since the brakes are on constantly, and instead do what ABS brakes do.

cheers Metalman
Have you tried it yourself? Its just that someone else told me it would be unadvisable. Its not that I don't belive you, Its just the cost if I'm wrong :C: |
I have an MX-3, and as far as I know it doesn't have ABS. But, back when I ran brushed, I had a Duratrax Streak that had ABS brakes. When I used them, the wheels would not lock up when braking hard, but instead kept their traction and quickly slowed the vehicle. I can't comment about the heat of the esc with this, as it always stayed cold.

Its a tricky one for sure
I just want the truck to stay on its wheels when I brake, the power of the 7XL just launches the truck into a somersault even with the most sensitive of touch. If I set the EPA down then I lose reverse (Shultze:rolleyes: ) |
If you have a transmitter that you can set ARC on, then you can adjust the curve so that the brakes are initially weaker, but then get stronger (exponentially) as you apply more brake.

I run the schulze as well. I have the abs on my controller to. I don't think I have tried it. I go bashing tomorrow. I may test it to see. I see what I can tell you about it. I run a 9xl instead of 7xl.

CHC does it still work?
or is it one for Serum's 'Hall of shame' now. or should that be 'Hall of pain' |
I got to adjust some other things. I forgot to test it for you. It is still going.
