Hi, I'm new to the e-maxx, i've only had it for about 4 weeks and love it. I've also got a savage which im gonna sell so i can do up my e-maxx. I like to bash and do big jumps and wanted to know which arms i should get. I would like to know from people who have experience. i've seen the supermaxx arms and g-maxx arms but are they good for bashing? cause they're called racing arms. I havent read any feedback on flextek arms so i dont know if they really are as strong as they say. i've heard that the flex in rpm arms is no good so im not gonna ge those.

And has anyone got any stuff made by barnburners??? AKA coolbillet from ebay. his stuff is cheap and is billet aluminum, i was just wondering if it really is strong. any help would be appreciated,

You can Bash anything and anything can and will break, given the proper beating.

You ought to consider a steering servo and servo saver upgrade right off the bat. The vehicles handling will improve dramatically.

For the arms UE offers three different suspension systems. The best UE set for bashing is the Supermaxx EXT
Turn buckles I'd go UE. For a screw set stay away from aluminum, stainless and titanium. I feel that high grade steel caphead screws should be used wherever you can. You could buy in quantity from a place likeMcMasters or ride specific set fromTony's Screws.

I am not familiar with coolbillet but your description cheap billett is probably accurate.

The FLM arms are also excellent bashing arms and are nearly impossible to damage. They also come with an $8 replacement guarantee-if you bend or break a FLM arm, you get the replacement for $8. Tough to beat and the prices aren't bad either.

thanks for the info papa. I was looking at the supermaxx servo saver that mike has, i might get that. I have a hitec 645 servo but im probably gonna up grade to that titanium geared one with 333oz/in. The probablem with getting supermaxx stuff is that i live in New Zealand and they dont ship internationally, but their stuff looks great.

yeah i saw those flm arms i might get a set of those if I cant get the supermaxx stuff, but if i do get the supermaxx stuff i have to get their turnbuckles and knuckles. i was gonna get a set of flm bulkheads.

Man all this stuff is gonna cost a heap lol haha, oh well if i dont spend it on this it will probably be spent on movie's and rubbish lol.

Mike ought to be able to hook you up with any of the Supermaxx products. Don' rule them out based on Robins UE shipping policy. Mike ships over seas all the time.:cool:

Mike has that 333oz servo as well. If you give me a little bit Mike supposed to have one for me. I can tell you about how it does. I run the integy suspension with no problems yet. Even clipped a pole with the front tire. If you going to go all out on your emaxx you may want to build another one and save the stocker for playing as well. That is how I got two. I just saw the price on the supremaxx stuff compared to the flm stuff and i think i will go with flm cause im not that rich lol. I was just looking at the prices and it says "Fastlane Maxx A-Arm Set, Upper" and its $28.50 and shows 4 upper arms in the picture but im sure thats not $28.50 for all 4 upper arms is it?

The FLM arms are sold in pairs. The picture is a little misleading, but I think the description says sold in pairs. The FLM arms are very nice and super durable. You won't be disappointed.

oh ok cool. So my list is,

flm arms
supermaxx diffs

flm bulkheads

dace 23mm adapters

what steering knuckles should i get? and what bumpers? I already have 3 vertigo skid plate sets so i'll use them before i get some titanium ones. and i have some aluminum shock towers and msr5 shocks. is there anything else i should get?

instead of the supermaxx diffs i would get the flm bulkless system for 1/8th diffs. alot cheaper and alot better. i would also get the bluebird servo. alot for a little. not to mention unless your gonna run a lehner 3080 or something i would recommend the mip cvds. the supermaxx is overkill.

with the flm bulkless diffs can i use savage diff in it? if not which ones would fit? im not exactly sure what it means by 1/8 buggy gears. and are they really strong? Thanks

The FLM hybrid bulks are made to fit hyper 7 and inferno diffs. Most any 1/8 scale buggy diff should actually work. The advantage of 1/8 buggy diffs is not only their strength, but also the ability to tune the diff action via different viscosity diff oil.
Savage diffs aren't far from 1/8 buggy diffs, but I haven't tried them. Perhaps Serum would know if they are able to drop in.

a wise investment in my opinion.

I was reading on the other thread that the stock size bottom hinge pins wont work on the hybrid bulks is it still like this? so if i got the lunsford titanium hinge pin kit the bottom ones wouldnt work? if so what titanium ones would fit?
