Academy SB Pro Diffs?

Do you think they would stand up to the power of a Neu 1506 or Mega 22/10/1E on 2s/3s? If they won't, what can I replace them with?

i dont think any ball diffs like high power, iwould lock them :D

I had read that the original diffs were pretty weak, but that newer kits have an update that gives them a bit more strength from stripping and metal outdrives too.

There is a huge SB Pro thread over at rc-universe that talks about a lot of the diff issues - I think proper shimming is important on the Academy diffs.

absolutlly not. no. not gonna happen. u can use B4 spring in it and bolt i think but they dont hold up to a 15 turn brushed motor.

I've ran a 5700kv, MM, 5000mah 3S lipo in mine for plenty of harsh runs (long wheelies, 74mph, whirlwind donuts). No problems after switching to losi grease, Acer beramic nitrile balls, and the steel outdrives. Only problem is the SBV2 Pro is so light it's near impossible to make a straight line over ~50mph. I ended up putting in a 2300kv for the small dirt track available to me...

bought a brand new sbv2, assembled it first day, and went to race it the second day. 9L, on 8 2400mah nicd's, front and rear diffs lasted just under 2 minutes of "testing" (dialing in steering, and throttle). car was on ebay later that night.. ugh.
