Huge news, Novak finally put a lipo cut off in the HV esc ;)

Still 4s tops, but it now has the cut off in the esc and its auto sensing for voltage.
Maybe its time to look at it again for racing. I kvow its not 6s or higher, but this is a big step for novak. It also has a 6v/3a bec

Sounds great. I was going to sell off my hv6.5r motor, but may keep it and give this esc a try. I would like a sensored motor for my x factor, as the mm/10xl does not have the smooth startup that I am looking for....

I'm looking at it for racing, I liked how the Novak HV 4400 i had best mimicked the nitro's. I believe that thats the one thing going for the Nitro's, power to weight is better for racing. I'm not leaving my high power setups, Just need a tamer brushless to run with the racers next year

You need to put an MMM on that 10xl then. Why is the MMM smoother then the MM? don't they have the same software.

I may play with the settings a bit. I have a novak crawler esc in my cr-01 crawler, and it is great at startup. That is vital for a crawler. Otherwise I am sensorless all the way for bashing, and for racing too.

Sweet, did the price go up at all?

Does anyone know if the LVC is adjustable? I kind of doubt it. Their 4s is 12.5v. Kind-of high for me.

That really shouldn't affect your runtime significantly. That 3.125v/cell and most people here running 3.2 or 3.3 v/cell. I've personnaly been running 3.3 v/cell and the vehicle still slows noticeably before the LVC kicks in.

Lipos don't like being drained to far and IMO the 12.5 will increase the longevity of people's packs.

Novak has also done away with the external Li-Po module with the inclusion of the built-in, auto-detect Smart-Stop Li-Po Cut-Off Circuitry. When active, the Cut-Off Circuitry automatically switches to the proper Li-Po cut-off voltage for the connected battery packs, preventing the batteries from going below the critical safety voltage level.

So I am guessing that it is fixed at 3v per cell? And will auto-detect the number of cells from the starting voltage.
