replacing my lipo wires
 
hi ive got two lipos 5000mah 25c 7.4v that were in my truck when my esc burnt out and i had a small fire the cells look ok they are not swollen and look fine but the wires are a bit chard could i just change the wires and re shrink rap the cell if so could tell what to do as these cells wer $118 or £60 and i want to see if i could save my lipos

I don't see why you couldn't. I would be careful when you charge them though.

i would charge them slowly and in a liposack (or equivilant) outside checking them every 15or so minutes... sitting there watching them for 5 hrs wouldnt be practical

If the cells are not swollen, chances are they are fine. If you want to change wires, work on one wire at a time - less likely for a short to happen.

I would charge that pac outside too, but just the 1st time. If it's ok charging, then I wouldn't worry about the pac after that, just treat it like you do your others.
