novak 6.5 for crt.5?

i am running with a 2s setup and a 16t pinion, i was planing runing a feigao 10t but i made a mistake and the one that i have is a 8t... and it's running hot in my t4 with a 20t, so I immagine it will run way too hot in crt.5,
is the novak 6.5motor a good idea?

won't it be a little too big? maybe you should get a feigao 7l

Daddydancool 07.04.2008 11:24 PM

well i was asking since i already have this motor

don't cost me any $$ to try it yes, i will have time to drive it only next monday, because i need to make a nice battery tray before runing it, i will post the updated result ;)

If you have the extended chassis the fit should be okay - could probably fit a 1515 in there.

A 1515 Neu will easily fit in the ext. chassis. There is too much space for the motor, imho.

I thought Go-Ride was using a 6.5R in his .5. Seemed to do well, but a bit underpowered IIRC. 35mph or so. This wasn't the RCM ext chassis tho.

I would try it, I would gear for 35 and see how it goes.

well i just got a novak 4300 at a cheap price on ebay, i will try both, and see which one is better for me ;)

My bad - I read a 6.5HV when you were talking about a regular 6.5R. Hmmm........ not sure that's going to be enough to push a CRT.5 - but others are using a CC 36xx motor with success - so it should work to some extent.
