SuperMaxx 7.5 Differential Kit
It says that it uses 1/8th scale gears and I was wondering if savage gears fit?
|
The ue diffs use ofna gears. The 6 spyders diffs are actually ofna hyper7 diffs. I dont think the savage gears will fit.
By the way welcome to the forums |
The savage gears do fit, but what do you mean? internal? or the ringgear?
|
I mean the internal ones cause i have 15 sets and just wondering if i should keep them or sell them.
|
Depends on the types you have got.
Some of the savage gears are poor quality, the molding process was bad. You can see from the side of the big gear, if te top of it is round, it's bad. the ones you've got are those a 4spider or 2 spider kits? the molding problem HPI suffered only took place with the 2spiders. |
well they arent actually hpi gears they are kyosho gears but they are the same size as the savage ones. they are normally used for the mad force and the mp-7.5 buggy diffs.
Mike said hes gonna list the 8 spider diffs for my this weekend so i'll order them and see if the gears are the same size. |
what is it about? the 6 or the 8 spider?
|
well i was gonna get the 6 spyders but now im gonna get the 8 spyders, just like you serum :) are the 8 spider diff gears different to the 6 spyder ones?
|
Yes, the 6 spiders don't fit the 8spiders. 8 spiders have got smaller satalites.
It are the best diffs money can buy! where are you going to use them for? |
Im gonna use them in the flm bulkless. I copied you lol!! hope you dont mind, it just seems like a really good set up :)
|
I really don't mind.. As long as you don't copy my entire maxx.. :p
no, those FLM is fine actually, no need to buy a shimming kit, if you get the UE diffs from Mike, they will include the shimms needed. |
