Next day E-Revo, is it geared right?

I love it when Tower ships from Arizona. I always get it next day and with the $35 coupon and $30 credit I had, I couldn't pass this up. Anyways I gutted my LST2 and put the MM/Neu 1Y/F in this badboy. All I have is a 18T pinion at the moment. Will this do? Or should I gear lower?

I tried using the speed calculator but I don't think I'm doing it right. My TrueRC 6400 lipos fit just right. I should be able to run it tomorrow a little. Also anyone know of a site that has MMM in stock?

Picked up two of these yesterday at Toy's R Us to try out also. Looks to be a nice launching platform.

Setup looks really good!

Were you able to get 18/68 to mesh properly without doing anything? Or do you have the fins ground down?

Trying to see how low I can gear down with my Neu Finned setup before it bottoms out.

Nice setup, I almost had the same setup but Im not using neu motor

For the gearing, I think you might need up the pinion size a bit, calculator show about 2700kv+++ but I might be wrong also :intello:

By the way did you made the mount for the ESC or did you buy it somewhere else...I made a plastic mount but doesnt look sturdy...

Looks great, bet you can't wait to try it out. I doubt anywhere has the MMM in stock.

Thanks for the comments. The 18/68 meshes just fine. The fins don't get in the way at all. The only thing I don't like is the Neu hits the body. If I land on the lid I'm hitting the motor full on. The best I could for now was to raise the body.

The ESC mount is from RCSolutions. They were discontinuing them so I bought the last batch that they had. Here's some pics for ya:

Sorry my mistake. The adddress on the box says:

Tower Hobbies
11190 Trademark Dr., Ste 101
Reno, NV 89521

Still NV, that's pretty good for next day.

Interesting - first time I've seen someone use the front motor mount in the e-revo. It is a bit of a rear-weight biased truck so that may even things out a bit - although it raises the CG up about and inch or two from the rear motor mount.

Let us know how it runs - I may have to try that config out.

I'm dying to try it out but I'm stuck house sitting today. I did clean my LST2 because it lists tonight on Ebay. I hope it sells, I gotta pay for my next project.
