venom 120a sc?
 

has anyone tried one of the venom brushless speed controller's?
I found out about these this week,and venom says it is good for 120amp continous with like 700amp burts:surprised:
It is setup for 4cell lipo already,with built in bec at 6v,and has the capacitors also.

I have one coming am going to give it a try with my axi in my e-revo on 4 cell.
I have searched and couldn't find anything on the web on these guys:party:
should be good if it can handle the amp load as described.

Its a re-badged Hobbycity speedo I believe. Does quite well I think, though Lutach is the authority on that really.

I don't think the Venom one is out yet but yes it is just a copy of the Hobby Wing 120A ESC

Hobbywing, yes, thats what I said, turf...

700amps for a nano second sounds plausible, but for anything longer that would surely fry the cheap chinese parts...

The info I got was from venom directly,the capacitors on the esc I saw was multiple little ones,where the pic has one big one though.
But that is the speed control,just green
I should have mine by the weekend,venom said they had them in stock,I ordered one with the order we placed with them

Was waiting for the wife and kids to get up, so killed some time on the net

Venom still has pictures of the original version, like the one I have with the single capacitor. They'll probably have the new firmware version, the capacitor bank and added programming that was not available for them. I might be getting something by the end of the month or next month and I'll post something about it.
