charging 2 7c packs on eos 0606i
Hi,
I bought the eos0606i to charge my 2 7c elite 5000mah NiMh packs. I'm running them on a Y connecter and the first charge seemed to go well but took a while. so on my next charge i decided to charge them one at a time. this took longer:tongue: . So now needless to say i'm going to be charging both packs at the same time from now on. Which brings me to my question, seeing as how i charged the batts olny once one at a time would it be safe to charge them both at the same time again? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks |

14 cells, so id imagine something like 1.4x 14.

|
They are 8.4V packs. 16.8 total.

yep. sold it, but i still try and help you guys out. it was a great truck, no good for racing though. moved onto a buggy :) |
If the batts will require the same amount of charge then it's ok to do them together as 1 pack in series.
|
to charge them effectively they have to be both exactly the same (matched together, with similar specs) and be run down equally (ubec rather than the esc etc). apart from that, it should be fine BUT: i wouldnt recommend charging them up full. charge them for 80% of the time (dont think tcs works for nimh) then charge individually. this ensures one isnt overcharged and destroyed.
hope this helps, ryan. |
Thanks for the help guys.
I sold my e-sav as well was getting married. I got an e-revo for a wedding present tho so the madness begins new:lol: |
hey, your the one who sold me those a123 batteries :)
havent really used them, but one of the cells seems a bit weak but should be fine (gets stuck at a lower voltage) good luck keeping the revo :D |
