mamba max settings help

I was wondering if someone had experience running a mm esc with a axi outrunner?
I was wondering what were some good starting settings for my e-revo with 2 2s 5000 lipo's with a cc bec.
I am running the same motor sike run in his emaxx the 2826-8
thanks,
Kevin

I have no experience w/ an outrunner, but, I would start out w/ low start power, low timing (5 or less) and 40-50% punch control and go from there. Better to be safe than sorry...IMO

U actually need high start power and timing for the outrunner to get it turning.. you should bump up the throttle curve right at the begining just so you can get the motor turning without cogging

Hi Kevin,

First, Make sure you have the latest version of the firmware installed in your MM. When the MM first came out, it didn't get along very well with Multipole motors. Castle fixed this issue with the firmware update. Now things work VERY well with the MM and outrunners.

Then set your MM to:

High Start Power
High Timing
0% Punch Control

Salt to Taste - on the rest of the settings.

Please let us know how your setup works and what your thoughts are about it.

sure will, thanks for all the info also,Sike.
I really appreciate all the help and wealth of knowledge on this site.
I have been running rc for 10 years, lots of electric but not the brushless side.
I have been running nitro the last few years and have decided to go back to electric'c and show the nitro guys how fast electrics can be:lol:
I have won the last 2 races with my revo, all stock with 7c nimh packs running in the unlimited class(truggy's):surprised:
I can tell you they don't like it one bit,I keep telling them to wait until the brushless setup:intello:
the e-revo in stock form has good acceleration, buts lacks in the top end.
I can't wait
