pistix setup help!!!!!!!!
 

hey i got the pistix today and was trying to set it up with like how the paper said. but i dont have any brakes. like when i hit gas the servo moves but when i hit brakes the servo does not move.

why are you using a servo??? A pistix is for ESC's made for aircrafts to be used with a pistol radio.

Yeah, a pic or something of your setup would really help.

Are you slaving the servo off of CH3 with mixing? Or is it Y'd off the throttle channel? What radio are you using? If it's futaba (or Futaba based) you probably have to reverse the throttle channel.

im using servo for the brake. the pistix is pluged into the esc. and then its y harnessed with the servo and pluged into ch2 on the rx. i got the thing to brake now but it brakes if i hit the gas and if i hit the brakes.

Maybe I'm just thick but something doesn't sound right. Are you feeding the pistix output to the servo too? If so, that won't work right. It should go: radio to Y cable. One side of Y goes to brake, the other goes to the pistix and then to the ESC.

Better yet, use channel mixing (if you have it) and have CH3 slaved off of throttle. That way, CH2 goes to pistix and ESC, CH3 goes to brake. You get a lot more adjustment out of that since each channel has its own set of EPA, trims, etc.

I was hoping a little more detail showing the actual wiring. :wink:

I would suggest disconnecting the brake altogether and get the ESC running right. Then hook the brake up and adjust that (it will mostly be horn repositioning... mechanical adjustments like that).
