My BL savage

Hey guys. i started building it up today. i will put pics up a little later. for some reason my steering is messed. if i turn my wheel for it to turn right it goes right and when i turn it for left it goes right (might be opposite but something like that) and it is very weak, i am thinkin cause i am testing with a receiver battery and it is not fully charged. Any suggestions on what it might be are muchly apprecitaed. thanks

Hey toby! Your in a BL savvy project too? :P For the left right thing it might be opposite setting on your Reciever , (swith the steering servo wires around), but that might not be the problem, yes the sloppy steering is most likely from low voltage.

fresh air is always nice:) how long did just that rear take?

poconoblmaxx 10.09.2005 07:14 PM

From the last pic it looks like you have something wrong with your steering linkage.

there is something wrong
been trying to work it out for a while now. any suggestions? i cannto figure it out. gotta pick some gearing. and where do i get a pinion for my motor from?

coolhandcountry 10.09.2005 07:23 PM

Mike can get your pinion to you there toby. could you have your servo mounted backwards. My brother done that on a maxx.

toby 10.09.2005 07:56 PM

what way should the gear be facing. the back or front?

coolhandcountry 10.09.2005 08:13 PM

I think you may have it backwards toby. Looking at the last pic you got up. take the arm off and flip the gear to the front. I am not sure on this because I don't have a savage.

Basketti 10.10.2005 02:59 AM

i have a savage, you need to turn the servo around. And in that last pictureyuo have the servo arm on wrong you need to turn it 90 degrees to the right( the servo arm should be across the servo width way not length way, hope that made sence lol). wish i had a bl savage. maybe that can be my next project once i've finished my e-maxx. those lst shocks are alot better than stock ones, i wish they would fit on the e-maxx.

Jasper 10.10.2005 06:15 AM

Basketti is right. You need to turn the servo and connect the servo arm as is showen in my picture.

I'm also building a BL savage. I have ordered a 7Xl wanderer and a 9920 by Mike, but it is still not in stock yet. My savage loves to go bashing!

toby 10.10.2005 08:28 AM

That is why i am doing this. I want to bash a big electric beast. so flip the servo and put the arm on a 90 degree flip

when i hit the gas is when my mechanical break goes as well. someone know what that problem might be?
