robitronic br-50 trophy truck
hey,
i was starting to think about my next conversion. and i wanted to do a trophy truck. but i dont like the slayer cause i already have a revo and dont want another one. (if i do get another its going to be g3r) i was thinking about using the robitronic br-50. but i cant find anything for it. like parts, bodys. i know it takes 1/8th buggy wheels and tires witch is cool cause i could get those at work. but does any one know of any sits that sell bodys and parts for this truck. thanks! here is the link to the truck just in case you dont konw what truck im talking about http://www.robitronic.com/br50-18-trophy-truck-en.html |

before I clicked on the link I thought "Trophy Truck" was another name for a shelf queen...sorry for any confusion........ |
Its a 1/8 buggy with a truck body. Its body or the slayer/slash bodies would also fit other 1/8 buggies.
|
The trophy truck is based on the Robitronic Mantis truggy chassis (Wheelbase: 362-368mm / 14.25-14.49in) and uses arms and tires of the Robitronic buggy. It uses longer wheel hubs compared to the buggy to widen its track width. The body won't fit a 1:8 buggy. Its offroad capabilities can be compared to a 1:8 buggy due to the "small" buggy tires. If you intend to run it on a track it should feel fine.

Tower stocks them and some parts. I would wait for the Slayer to come as after market support will be much better with the Slayer.

SEXY!
I like it over the slash/slayer for sure. I'm in agreement that the slayer is just too much like another revo. If I didn't have a revo already, I'd be interested. That robotronics looks great. I'm sure between the other robotronics cars you could find plenty of interchangeable parts. |
yah i do like the robotronics over the slayer just cause its on a buggy chassis, it has a center diff, it has a nice axial .28 engine that i know a lot of people that want. so i could sell it for almost the price of a new one lol, it has the buggy tires on it so there would be a lot of options there.
does any one know if buggy tires would if on the slayer wheels? |
I LIKE IT!:great:
|
It is a much sexier looking vehicle especially with the red aluminum which you don't see to often
|
yah i do like the red aluminum. i think thats robitronics main color cause there scaple and there avid are red aluminum too.
there is a guy that some times comes into my work that has one. so im going to ask him if he can bring it in and i can check it out. or tomorrow i might just go up to ultimate hobbies and check out theres cause i think they have one. might just take the slash body and try it out lol. |
I saw one these at a hobby convention last week,I thought it was cool.
sk motion is the distributor for robitronic(at least that's what they told me). I like the extra wheel and tire mounted to the back of the body also, nice touch on the realism, nobody else that i have seen has done that. |
I think it's going to be so sweet! Make sure to post pics.
|
oh dont worry i well have tons of pics if i do it. i should be getting it next month. i have to pay for school this month so next month i well have money again. its eve cheaper then the slayer. its only 404$ at ultimate hobbies.
|
That is a sweet price
|
im also thinking about just getting the buggy by robitronics and putting the slayer body on it. since its only 260$
