truck for my dad...?
 

my dad somewhat wants to get back into rc, and ive got a mm 5700kv motor sitting in the garadge asking to go into somthing :P
budget is about $200 for a roller, will be using some 6c nihm for now but later on a 2s 8000 pack or maby even 3s.
i suggested a pede for a rustler but hes not so fond of the design...
he doesnt want a slash either :(
he likes my crt but i said its not gonna be that cheap and 5700kv is too high for a crt.5
hes gonna be bashing it....
any ideas?
is there such an rc? lol

the best think i can think of is a rustler vxl roller and stick the mm in it....
but like i said hes not in love with the rustler...

If he's bashing, about the only thing I'd consider outside of what you listed already would be an HPI E-Firestorm.

Well if he doesn't like a Rustler (stadium truck), Stampede (monster truck) or a Slash (new breed) than what type of truck doesn't he want? Maybe a Losi Speed T?

Possibly a crawler? But you'll need a different motor then... the Axial kit can be got for about $200 as far as I know.

Do you have radio gear?
Could even look at getting a 2nd hand XXXT MF2. I had one and loved it, would go great with the mamba. Or maybe something a little different, a XXXNT and convert it (if possible)

I got a rollor Rusty that has been converted to the VXL stuff.....with radio and 3s lipo, sidewinder and 4600 motor

Thats a great one Drift... with the brushless motor and a 2s. Know my Dad would love it. Then if he got addicted he would shell out more for a 1/8th !

Would be sweet to watch that run around a track with the 5700kv going past 4WD buggies, lol

i love the xxxt line of trucks but hes gonna bash whatever im gonna get him and i dont think an xxxt would stand up to the abuse of what a rustler can do...

idk, id like to try and convince him to get whatever MY next project is gonna be.... lol
