My E-RC8.

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to share some pics of my E-RC8 and a high-resolution video of me driving :) At the end of the video my Lehner 1940/8 actually fried!! Still hurts a bit to see the last part of that clip :S

I bought a Tekno NEU 1515 1Y (2200kv) to replace my lehner. Yesterday I tried the new motor at the track for the first time and it is working absolutely wonderful! Highest temp was 132F geared 18/46 running 4S lipo and MMM.

I actually "stole" the paint design from Sparkys RC8 (hope thats ok! :) )

And the video (this is with the lehner 1940/8):

In this folder there are some clips with my old Matrix Pro (all uncompressed large files):

Have you done any mods to it, or are you using it stock form?

Here's what I did:
1. Running an external cc bec
2. Cut the grill out of the case above the fan. Too many having issues w/the fins hitting the grill.
3. I took BrianG's advice and am running the fan from the rx, not the internal bec of the esc.

Yes maybe I should use an external bec instead its just that I only have an UBEC and they are kind of bulky :(

Is it possible to run the MMM with external bec AFTER the internal has failed?

I have seen people running MMM without fans and they seem to be fine. Maybe if you dont push it the limit the fan doesnt really matter? Mine had stopped once (fan had hit the grill) and I dont know for how long it wasnt working but the MMM wasnt hot at all.
