Hv 110

I have a HV 110 that I am going to use in my Revo and it doesnt have a BEC but it states that its OPTO if I use a BEC would I need to remove the red wire like I would if it had an internal BEC?

No. If I remember correctly you may have to leave it in so that the esc will work.

True opto-isolated controllers have the power boards completely isolated from the "brain" boards. You would keep the red wire in place to provide power to the brain board via the BEC.

so in that case the BEC would supply power to the Rx and the RX to the brain board?
