question about hyperion 0606i charger

I've looked at the manual I printed for the charger (the charger didn't come with one, so I went to their website and printed one) and can't seem to figure out how to charge a lipo at the halfway mark (there is no mention of it anywhere in the manual). Could somebody tell me how?

Thanks!:intello:

what you mean charge at the halfway mark?

I think you mean to the half way point for storage - It doesn't - I just leave mine fully charged...

the 610i duo has a "storage" function that was added on with the firmware update, it stops at 60% of something (I believe). But my 0606i didnt have it... I dont know what its 60% of lol.. 60% of the way from i.e. 2s; 7.2 to 8.4 ? so somewheres near like 7.8v ??

There should also be a percent capacity level that you can set - not sure if it goes down to 50% though.

thanks everybody!

Another question, I just tried to balance my lipo but the charger says "balance voltage too high" It wont let me charge the batt at all. I've tried looking in my manual, but it is terrible. What do I do to get the balance voltage low enough? Do I just run the bat until its low?

Sorry for all the questions, but I new to lipo.

Eek - This could mean bad news but generally means you just plugged it into the wrong adapater - Note the 2-4 hyperion taps are all the same size but you must put it in the correct slot...

Otherwise you need to check the voltage on each cell with a voltmeter

This is what TCS - 'Terminal Capacity Selection' is for, top page 3, then more detail explanation after network charging on p5. Runs from 0 to 100% for lipo, other batts may have higher range.

Basically after batt is set up if you want it to stop at 50%, enter 50% in TCS, charger stops at 50% capacity based on the setup you input. Want 80%, enter 80% in TCS. Couldn't be easier - name could be better though, its not real obvious what TCS is for.
