Neu energy battery ?s Help!

i have a neu battery , 4s 5k pack , and i just finished breaking it in (not discharged less then 14.8v for 5 cycles) , but i have decided that i should have gotten a 5s pack

i just cant seem to get the speed i want for bashing

what can i do, the pack has been run so i cant return it and i contacted neu and they do not sell cells as there packs come pre-built

do i just keep the 4s for running on the track , which isnt very often right now

should i sell it and take the loss to get a 5s pack ?

should i buy a 3s 5k pack and make my 4s a 5s and then sell the 2s pack ?

does anyone have a neu pack that has a bad cell that i could buy(not a good idea) to make this a 5s pack ?

suggestions?

thanks

What motor are you running? You may look into getting a motor that's a little faster, it may be cheaper than buying a new battery. I would not try to make your own packs or modding the one you have now unless you are fully comfortable doing it.

here is why i like 5s better

just ran my truck for 20 min. of w/o bashing and my old p.o.s. maxamps that i cobbed together (3 good cells and 2 so-so ones) still is at 18.5v, and geared 13/48 (41 mph in calc.)my mm was 115* battery got up to 120* after running in grass at the end of the bash and motor was at 160*

.............anyone have a good 5k neu energy cell for sale.............

If you want to add a cell, do not both to take the pack apart. I have modded a bunch of packs, but would never dissasemble a good pack...

It is a lot of work to make a lipo pack that looks factory.

If you find a spare cell, just add it too the pack, with a balance tap wire, and a pair of main leads with another connector. You will have more wire, but at least you can remove the extra cell, and sell the pack as an unmolested one...

Personally, I would sell it and buy the pack you want.

thats what i was thinking , but i may keep it for awhile and use it for track time

i was thinking of this pack for something cheap , its heavy but dont want to invest $250 + after buying the wrong pack:grrrrrr:
