RAZORBACK coming soon.

This is kind of cool.

It does look kind of cool...the name makes me think of the elusive UE Razorback...

Looks interesting. I have always wanted a hobby grade hover craft type vehicle. I have owned the tyco types but they have always been disappointing to say the least.

Edit: just watched the video, now I want one. It looks like a tough little cookie!

Thats why i worte the thread title the way i did .

I think these might be pretty cool on a carpet track .

I never ended up having as much fun with RC hovercraft as the commercials made them look.
For a second, I thought you meant the UE Razorback:

Hmm, not very fast though. Maybe with a nice BL setup it would be a rocket....

BrianG 07.27.2008 04:36 PM

Hmm, it already comes with dual BL, lipo, and 2.4GHz radio. I'm thinking that any kind of power upgrade will severely reduce runtime. Adding more powerful motors requires better/heavier batteries, which make the whole thing heavier, which then makes it harder to hover.

suicideneil 07.27.2008 04:48 PM

Ah, didnt see that page. I see it has an upgrade option for 50mph topspeeds, that sounds more fun. Drifts well doesnt it...

BrianG 07.27.2008 05:19 PM

Yes, it does seem to drift well. Although, I doubt I'd have that much fun with it. The drivers in these commercials seem to be far more skilled than I. I'd probably be hitting every stationary object within a few hundred feet of the thing.

BRIAN you would not like this vechile because it has fans :na::lol:.

BrianG 07.27.2008 05:32 PM

That's true! No wonder I wasn't too keen on it!

Seriously, I have no problem with fans unless they are used to keep something cool enough to keep running...

Or a large empty pool. Wonder if it will work on water like a true hovercraft?

magman 07.27.2008 07:21 PM

Looks interesting enough to consider a future purchase.
