Power Supply Question
Last month, I bought an E Revo and some 7 cell SPC packs for it. I have an ICE charger and a 12 volt 10 amp power supply.
I like the truck a lot, but dont like to wait two and a half hours for the batteries to charge. My ICE is a great charger, but it cant do two batteries at once. I was looking for a Dual charger that can charge lipos and I found the Hyperion EOS0610i DUO. I plan to buy this charger, but I dont know if my power supply will be able to supply enough current for charging two packs at once. I figured that my power supply is capable of delivering 120watts of power (12v*10A=120 watts). To charge one 7 cell NiMh pack at 4.6 amps, I would need about 39 watts (8.4v*4.6A=38.64 watts). For two packs I would need about 78 watts. Based on these numbers, my power supply would be powerful enough right? Thanks for reading this -Brad |
Those numbers work in my head. So long as the charger itself is rated for more than 80watts, I see now problems.
