g maxx revo diffs
hi i have a g maxx revo with a g maxx single speed gear box can any one tell me why it would be better to use 1/8 buggy diffs
and im building a bl lst2 would i be better off using diffrent diffs in this (ie muggy diffs or are these no diffrent) thanks guys |
1/8th diffs are stronger and handle brushless power better. Obviously this isn't a problem unless you are busting stock diffs left and right. My stock ones hold up fine for me.
Another note is that it also changes your gearing options. |
nice one cheers mate havent broke any diffs yet but i have snapped the traxxas cvd,s gone back to stock and they seem ok at the moment

the stock shafts have always held up great for me, I don't like the noise of CVD's either and in my experience they are more prone to failure.

I crushed the rear diff in my G-revo, using a 9xl and 5s on a quark 125. I know run a 1515/2.5d (1700kv) with 5s and same 125 esc, the 1/8 diffs are holding great. The current setup is almost twice as strong as the 9xl at the same kv. If you plan for high volt or real power setup, I really suggest the 1/8 conversion. best investment i ever made for an RC
